BCCI announced a new cricket package for the Indian women cricketers, which will make them more richer than some male cricket teams worldwide. If the statement by the BCCI, is confirmed than Indian women’s are earning 35% more compare to Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Afghanistan men’s side. However this decision of equal pay is a great, it will bring more talented cricketers from different districts of India. Highest Paid In Indian Squad : Harmanpreet Kaur is highest paid in the current Indian Women’s squad, she earns 25% to 40% extra match fees based on his captain’s tag. Her retainer fee’s rise from $65k a year to $100k based on match fees. Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma, Poonam Yadav, and Rajeshwari Gayakwad all were selected in A contract. But still no Indian women player selected for A+ category where retainer fee is more than 1 crore a year.

Since there is no selection made for A+ contract yet, but based on yearly performance we might have the next Indian women cricketer who will earn contract A+ where she can earn (1 Crore Indian Rupee) a year as of retainer fee’s.

Jay Shah who is the President of the Asian Cricket Council said “I’m pleased to announce BCCI ’s first step towards tackling discrimination. We are implementing pay equity policy for our contracted BCCIWomen cricketers. The match fee for both Men and Women Cricketers will be same as we move into a new era of gender equality in Indian cricket”
If there will be any changes to current Indian women cricketers salaries, contracts details will be provided here, but as far cricket sources reported the contracts will be re-schedule and updated in the month of June and July 2024.
