Euro 2020 is just around the corner and France will head into the tournament with a hope to add another major trophy having won FIFA World Cup 2018. France are odds on favourites to win the tournament which they should have in 2016. France were beaten by a very mediocre Portugal side in Euro 2016 final however they managed to ease off that pain by winning the 2018 world cup.
France FA will announced the 26 man squad for Euro 2020 by 15th May 2021 and UEFA has made life easier for French national team coach Didier Deschamps, who can pick as many as 26 players in the final squad. Once the official squad is announced we will update this page but for now below is the possible 26 man squad for France heading into the tournament month.

Even with impressive season under his belt Karim Benzema is unlikely to be called up for national duty which is a shame really. However with players like Griezmann, Mbappe and Ben Yedder upfront France might not miss him eventually.

National Team Coach: Didier Deschamps
On paper, France squad is possible the best in the world and they can even make two teams and expect both to reach the finals. However with France it has always been how the squad is getting on with each other and under national team coach Didier Deschamps there is a certain harmony in the team without and unrest. Deschamps flirted with the 3 at the back formations but we can expect him to revert back to his trusted 4-3-1-2 system where France try to control the midfield and use Mbappe upfront alongside Griezmann and Giroud.
Possible Starting Lineup:
France have so many talented players across the pitch but Deschamps usually go with some of the most trusted players over the last few seasons. Lloris start as no.1 with Varane and Kimpembe in central defense roles. Pavard and Lucas Hernandez to play as full backs. Kante as a holding midfielder alongside Pogba and recently Adrian Rabiot (who replaced Matuidi). Griezmann play as no.10 behind Mbappe and Giroud.
Players To Watch Out For:
Its hard to believe Kylian Mbappe is still just 22 year old by the time he takes the pitch in Euro 2020. Has is one of the most inform strikers in Europe heading into the tournament. Mbappe absolutely rinsed teams in later stages of World Cup 2018 when not many people were expecting him to but heading into the 2020 Euro the hype train around him will be in full flow and rightly so. At the moment he is prime candidate to replace Cristiano and Messi as world’s best player.
However he has been vocal against some of the criticism which came as his recent performances with France took a slight dip but if he goes into the tournament injury free and fit, he will be the one stand out player to watch out for in Euro 2020.
