Premier League Mid Season 2021/22 awards: Best Player of the Season, Manager, Signing, Match and Best XI so far (Revealed)

Player of the season so far

Winner: Jao Cancelo (Man City)

Absolute sensational performances so far this season by jack of all trade Jao Cancelo. He has mostly been deployed on the left flank by Pep Guardiola. Both in attack and defense he has been top notch. Second most assist for City this season and most ball recoveries make him the engine of the team.

Honorable Mention: Mohammad Salah

For many he might be the best player in the world and his goals back it up this season. However we cant put him above Cancelo for 2021/22 season so far for their respective jobs. However things might change by end of the season as Salah is on course to his best ever premier league goal scoring tally with already 15 to his name.

Manager of the season so far

Winner: Pep Guardiola

Guy is absolute genius at what he do. Leave trophies and success aside, the way City play football is on absolute different level at the moment. Even without the recognized no.9, City are top goal scorers in the league. Create most number of chances and boss the possession. The number of games they win by absolutely dominating teams is scary to say the least. At the half way point in the league City have already build up a 8 points lead and that makes Guradiola manager of the season so far.

Honorable Mention: David Moyes

West Ham United under David Moyes have been breath of fresh air this season. Specially at the start when they could give game to any team. As things stand after 19 matches, David Moyes side are aiming for unlikely top 4 finish, if not even a Europa League place will be a success.

Best XI of the season so far:

Goal Keeper: Jose Sa (Wolverhampton

Full Backs: Cancelo (Man City), Trent Alexander Arnold (Liverpool)

Central Defenders: Thiago Silva (Chelsea), Virgil Van Dijk (Liverpool)

Central Midfielders: Rodri (Man City), Conor Gallagher (Crystal Palace)

Attacking Midfielder: Bernardo Silva (Man City)

Wingers: Salah (Liverpool), Son Heung-Min (Tottenham)

Striker: Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)

Best match of the season so far

Winner: Liverpool 2-2 Manchester City

The fact that these two teams have been going at each other for best part of last 5 years in the title race. They always seem to produce the best football games in premier league in that period. This season they played out a 2-2 draw at Anfield which had everything.

Honorable Mention: West Ham 3-2 Chelsea

Chelsea lead twice but West Ham came back twice and won the game in the end with a freak goal.

Best Signing of the season so far

Winner: Jose Sa (Wolverhampton)

Wolverhampton signed Jose Sa for just $8.8m in the summer and he is in contention to be the best goal keeper of the season.

Honorable Mention: Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal)

Ramsdale has been sensational for Arsenal but they spent massive $30.8m to sign him and he was suppose to be good. That is the only reason he is not the winner of this category.

Worst signing of the season so far

Winner: Jadon Sancho (Manchester United)

No surprises here, Jadon Sancho just cant get it right for United so far this season. He has showed glimpses of Dortmund form but United did not spent $93.5m for glimpses.
