It is the 22nd edition of FIFA world cup and this is the first time that the world cup is taking place in November/December. The league’s around europe will be halted for a month so that players can join their national teams for the World Cup.
How 32 team will be assigned into 4 groups in Group Stage Draw ?
- 32 teams will be divided into four pots of 8 teams each. Teams are divided into 4 pots according to current FIFA rankings and historical world cup results.
- 1 team from each pot will be draw into each of the 8 groups. Qatar being the host national already qualified and are considered seeded as A1.
