Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium | also known as Al- Rayyan stadium is situated in Al-Rayyan city of Qatar. The stadium was previously built in 2003. Got the capacity of 21,282 seats then the stadium. Later it’s demolished in 2015 and the seating capacity has now increased to 40,740 seats. The construction of the new stadium was started in 2016 by joint partnership of Al-Balagh and the Larsen & Toubro. The new designing and renovation of stadium includes the huge media facade. The opening of the new stadium was done on 18 December 20202, on Qatar’s National Day.

Al Thumama Stadium | stadium is located in south Doha near Hammad International Airport. This stadium has been build in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup 2022. The main architectural design is made by the chief architect of Arab Engineering Bureau Ibrahim Jiadah, he take the inspiration of design from the traditional Taqiyah hat used by Muslim men’s of Arab and middle east. The stadium has the capacity of 40,000 seats. The stadium is surrounded by a 50,000 sqm green park.

Al Janoub Stadium | Al Janoub stadium which is previously known as Al- Wakrah Stadium which was inaugurated on 16 May 2019 is situated in Al- Wakrah,one of the oldest inhibited areas of south Doha. It was built by the Iraqi Zaha Hadid Architects together with the firm called AECOM. The roof design of stadium was inspired from the dhow boats, used by the pearl divers of the region. the total sitting capacity of the stadium is 40,000 seats which will be reduced to 20,000 after the world cup.

Al Bayt Stadium | is located in Al khor region of Qatar. The contract for the construction of this stadium was given to Webuild S.P.A and Cimolai in 2015.The architectural inspiration for this stadium has been drawn from the tents of nomadic people of Qatar, it has a retractable roof This stadium has the capacity of 60,000 people, and is set to host the opening match of FIFA World cup 2022 on 21 of November 2022.The onsite parking of this stadium has the capacity to hold 6000 cars, 350 buses and coming and going of 150 public taxis.

The Education City Stadium | is located in Al-Rayyan, Qatar. The location of the stadium is within the several University Campuses. The stadium has been built to host the matches of FIFA World cup 2022, and has the sitting capacity of 40,000.The building contract was given to the JPAC JV and Buro Happold. The official opening of the stadium was on 15 June 2020. The Education City stadium is also called as a Dimond in the Dessert. This stadium is one of the most environmentally sustainable stadiums.

Stadium 974 | It’s previously named as Ras Abu Aboud stadium is located in Ras Abu Aboud, Doha ,Qatar. It is the only temporary venue made to host the matches of FIFA World cup 2022 and after that the stadium will be demolished. The name of this stadium 974 is of two reason, firstly it shows the International dialing code for Qatar, and secondly there are 974 shipping containers that were used for the construction purpose. The construction is designed by Fenwick Iribarren Architects, the stadium was inaugurated on 20 November 2021 with a Sitting capacity of 40,000.

Khalifa International Stadium | Khalifa International stadium which is also known as National Stadium, is named after Khalifa Bin Hamad Al Thani, who is the Qatar’s former Emir and was built in 1976 in Al-Rayyan, Doha Qatar. Its a multipurpose stadium and hosted many big events including the final of 2011 AFC Asian Cup .For hosting the FIFA World cup 2022 this stadium is renovated and expanded its capacity of hosting people to 40,000.They also introduced some advance and innovative cooling technology to give players a comfortable playing environment. The opening ceremony after all these renovations was held in 2017.

Lusail Iconic Stadium | Lusail Iconic Stadium or also known as Lusail International Stadium is located about 23 km north of Doh., It’s one of the biggest stadium of Qatar with a sitting capacity of 80,000. This stadium will host the final game of FIFA World cup 2022. The architectural design of this stadium is inspired from the interplay of the shadows and light in the fanar lantern. After the end of mega event of football this stadium will be transformed into multipurpose community hub having educational facilities, cafes, parks etc. The inauguration of the stadium was held in the end of year 2021.

Note | Some of the FIFA World Cup 2022 stadiums built for the world cup in Qatar will be demolished after the tournament completed.
