The 2022 FIFA World Cup feels that much closer with the draw now officially out of the way. The group stage matchups are set and we can begin to project who might be in the best position to advance from the knockouts.
England landed the USA in Group B, Argentina, and Lionel Messi will go up against Mexico in Group C, and it’ll be Luis Suarez and Uruguay looking to spoil the potential final World Cup tournament for Cristiano Ronaldo in Group H.
The tournament kicks off on Monday, Nov. 21, and will be wrapped up in less than a month with the final tabbed for Sunday, Dec. 18. Brazil enter as the No. 1 team in the world and has a manageable group to navigate while defending champions France is expected to finish top in their group with a chance to build a head of steam in the tournament.

USA vs Morocco
The United States football team (USMNT) will face Morocco in their first 2022 Qatar World Cup warm-up match on June 1 at QTL Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, the US Soccer Federation announced on Wednesday. The friendly match is an opportunity for US and Morocco’s football teams to prepare for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Morocco will be the first African squad to play against the US since Gregg Berhalter took over as head coach of the USMNT in 2018. USMNT has never beaten the Moroccan national team in its history, stated the federation. The last match between Morocco and US teams took place in 2006 in Nashville, US, during the Send-Off Series ahead of the 2006 Germany World Cup.
In addition to its match with Morocco, the US team will play three other friendly matches in June 2022 against Grenada, El Salvador, and another opponent that has not been announced yet.
The World Cup final draw placed Morocco, currently ranked as the world’s 24th best team, in Group F at the World Cup alongside Belgium, Canada, and Croatia after going undefeated in CAF World Cup Qualifying, scoring 25 goals and conceding only 3.
Brazil, South Korea, and Japan (Aisa Tour)
Japan and South Korea will start their world cup campaign with their warm-up matches against Brazil. South Korea and Japan will compete against brazil for the World Cup with high-profile warm-ups against Brazil next month.
The confirmation came that Brazil will play a friendly match against South Korea in Seoul as part of its World Cup preparations. Confirmed by the Brazilian soccer confederation.
The game is scheduled for June 2. The team then plays Japan in Tokyo four days later, as the Brazilian soccer confederation previously confirmed, and faces Argentina in Melbourne on June 11.
Brazil will play Serbia, Switzerland, and Cameroon in Group G at the World Cup, which starts on Nov. 21 in Qatar.
