Binder started his Grand Prix racing career with 125cc class riding in 2011. There he did not succeed and the very next year, he switched to Moto3 World Class Championship in 2012. After getting some early failure, he performed at his best in 2016 to made his way to his maiden Moto3 World Champion title.

He moved to Moto2 category in 2017. He showed great performances here by standing at 8th in 2017, 3rd in 2018, and 2nd in 2019.
