Dutch side PSV Eindhoven has extended their historic sponsorship deal with Philips till 2031. The partnership between electric brand Philips and PSV is unique which dates back to 1913 when the club was founded making it the most oldest partnership deal in world of sport.
The contract extension was signed in November 2020 which will ensure PSV getting slightly better financial terms compared to the previous deal signed back in 2015 which was suppose to run till 2025. Under the new contract Philips will pay €33 million to PSV over the next 10 years. Deal includes stadium naming rights ensuring PSV home ground retain the name as “Philips Stadion”.
Apart from stadium naming rights, Philips will partner PSV in the “Brainport Eindhoven Partner Fund” which comprises of other top 5 dutch brands and this charitable foundation help improve the lives of residents in the Brainport area. PSV will use “Brainport Eindhoven Partner Fund” on all their home/away shirts as sponsor.
PSV also signed an separate kit deal with german brand Puma who will produce PSV kits from 2020/21 season onwards. Puma will be paying around €50 million to PSV for a 10 year contract.
