After ending the shirt sponsorship deal with Virgin media back in 2019, the club signed a new deal worth £3m a year with Chinese-based company “LD Sports”.
However, the sponsor walked away from the deal due to ongoing tension between China and UK.
So, ahead of 2021-2022, the club signed a 3 year deal with cryptocurrency firm Sportsbet.io. The deal is worth £9 million over three years time period.

Southampton Sleeve contract deal
Virgin Media is the official sleeve sponsor partner of Southampton. Both had shirt sponsorship stints too in 2016 but later called it off.
However, the deal was extended to include the club’s women’s and youth teams as well.
So, Virgin’s logo continues to feature on the left sleeve of all Southampton kits. The deal will end after the 2021-22 season.
