African Cup of Nations 2021 gets underway in the first week of January 2022 and will be played through first week of February 2022. That kind of cause havoc for Premier league teams who will be missing their key players who are called up for national duty. Some teams will suffer more then others and we take a look at each club and the players who have been called up for African cup of nations by their national teams.

For around a month players like Salah, Mahrez, Mane, Aubameyang and some other prominant african players in premier league will be missing due to them playing in the African Cup of Nations 2022. Here is the complete breakdown of each player missing from their premier league teams.

What dates players will be missing from premier league action ?

African Cup of Nations 2021 scheduled to take place from 9th January to 06 February 2021. Which means players who are called up by national teams will be missing from the start of January till their team gets knocked out.

So we are looking at atleast 4 to 6 fixtures in English football which these players might miss depending on how far they go in the African Cup of Nations. For example if Egypt were to win the tournament Salah might be away till 10th February 2022. However if Egypt were to get knocked out in group stages, Salah will be back with Liverpool by 22 January 2022.
