Two teams with four players each are eligible to play. As compared to Men curling, Women’s curling is more famous. Mixed curling is also part of the winter Olympics.
Ice Hokey:
A very famous sport among North Americans, It is played on snowy filed. It was first played in the 19th century in Canada. Teams consist of three forwards, 2 defencemen, and 1 Goaltender.
It is one of the fastest team sports on ice belonging to a small group of four ice-skating team sports, irrespective of their associated variants.
In this game, each goal is worth 1 point. At the final whistle which team scored the most points wins the match.
Figure skating:
This sport includes single, pairs, or group events. In figure Skating, athletes perform on the ice. It was the first-ever winter Olympic sport that was included in the Olympics.
Figure Skating disciplines are Men’s Singles, Women’s singles, pair skating, and ice dance.
Alpine skiing:
Downhill skiing or Alpine skiing is the pastime of sliding down snow-covered slopes on skis with fixed heel binding. Other Skiing sports included free-heel bindings. It is practiced at the Skies resort.
