The hype of one of the biggest world events begins as the ultimate countdown started. The process for the 2023 Rugby World Cup Qualified Teams began during the pool stages of the 2019 tournament in Japan. At which the top three teams from each of the four pools qualified automatically for the 2023 event. A further eight teams will qualify through regional, cross-regional play-offs and the repechage process.
Four teams across Africa, Asia/Pacific, the Americas, and Europe will contest the Final Qualification Tournament. The final is being held for the second Rugby World Cup tournament running in November 2022. The winner of the round-robin tournament will secure the last remaining ticket for France 2023.

Despite, not being the top leader in its group, South Africa booked the next year’s world cup ticket as the reigning champion. South Africa will enter the tournament as the defending champions.
Qualification Thorough Mega Event
12 teams get the direct pass to the rugby 2023 world cup. The remaining 8 spots will be filed via different competitions. To fulfill the remaining 8 spots, teams from different continents are set to make their way into the mega event.

In order to decide the remaining 4 teams for the next year’s rugby world cup, A repechage tournament will occur in November 2022. The repechage tournament will decide the final 4 spots and the pool of 20 teams will be completed for the Rugby World Cup 2023.
