2020 US Open Tennis Prize Money (Confirmed)

US Open 2020 is set to begin on 31st August 2020 and it will be the first major tennis grand slam to take place after the covid-19 pandemic break. The tournament will be played behind closed doors for the first time ever but that wont be the only change this year.

US Open 2020 Prize Money and Distribution System: US Open authorities has confirmed that $53.4 million will be the total fund available for 2020 US Open which is 5% less than the 2019 event. US Open Authorities have worked with ATP and WTA to put together a player relief fund which will ensure increase in prize money first & second round matches to ensure financial balance and support for players who need it the most.

Out of the total $53.4 million available in prize money fund, $7.6 million will be used for players affected by the covid-19. USTA will also provide extra $6.6 million which will use as relief grants and subsidies since their wont be any qualifiers.

Below is the entire breakdown of US Open prize money to be handed from round 1 to the finals. Both men and women singles will get $3 million each for winning the title which is around $1 million less than 2019 event.
